About the Founder
A consummate retail professional, Smith oversaw close to $1 Billion in revenue during her decade long career in corporate retail. Working as a National Buyer at the headquarters of CVS, Sears/Kmart, 7-Eleven, she managed, grew & restored thousands of products, with hundreds of vendor partners in over 15,000 retail outlets. Her passions and strengths were centered around optimizing product assortments; streamlining efficiencies; optimizing profit & loss statements and leading business model innovations.
In early 2014, Terrand co-founded a non-retail related technology start-up. Working in neighborhoods across the country, she noticed many product-based entrepreneurs were greatly hindered and not knowledgeable of the complexities of retail, distribution and commerce. They were great at their craft, but due to a lack of knowledge their growth stalled. She realized how vital the success of these community entrepreneurs were to local economies and communities.
In January of 2016 , she created a consulting company that focused on educating and preparing entrepreneurs for growth through ecommerce, wholesale, storefront & mobile retail channels. That company was 37 Oaks.
